I hate fsc cigs witha passion. They taste like crap, I have to drag way harder and still don't feel like I got enough out of it so I smoke more, they give me headaches, sore throat, a metallic taste in my mouth and tongue, and a general crappy feeling. I've tried everything to get my nicotine fix. First I found an online store that sold non fsc cigs here in the states (carolinacartons.com), and I stockpiled nonfsc cigs (knowing my stockpile would run out and it did), I tried those little filtered cigars but didn't care for them (draw wasn't right, didn't taste good to me), I ordered swiss made cigs from online European stores but quit that as the taste wasn't the same as I'm looking for, I'm currently doing the MYO thing. Bought the injector and tubes and have tried countless varieties of tobacco and I will say they are better than FSC cigarettes but not quite like my premade Marlboros used to be. I so badly want a non fsc Marlboro but thats to all the wacko politicians I'm SOL.

Yeah, I noticed the FSC thing too. I was sick as Hell, but I felt better after spending a month out of this communist country and smoking regular cigarettes. Then I felt sick again after returning to the States and smoking FSC. It wasn't in my head. I used to smoke Marlboros, but the FSC made them taste like burnt plastic, so I had to switch to Camels. They don't seem to have as much flame retardant carpet glue in them. I got frustrated rolling my own and for the past year I've been vaping and have myself down to a pack every other week. I'm just waiting for the bastard socialists to find a way to ruin my e -cigs. They're already trying to impose a public ban on them in Illinois. If they can't outlaw them, I'm sure they are going to find a way to tax the Hell out of them. Illinois has already taxed the RYO cigarettes. It's like $5 for a pack of Bugglers there.

I would like to know how everyone else is dealing with FSC. Ordering from overseas, RYO, vaping, or just putting up with it and smoking FSC cigs? Also does anyone recommend one brand over another of the FSCs for being less shitty. I smoked Marlboros (lights and reds) before fsc and after. I switched to Camels as I felt they tasted less shitty but have tried FSC marlboro reds again and think they taste a little better, still noticeable fsc taste. Old Gold regulars were another brand I felt tasted a little less crappy. How bout the native brands? I'm assuming they all have to be FSC but does anyone who smokes them feel they taste better than other fsc cigs?

There is no excellent FSC stick. The Lucky Strike,Camel and Chesterfield non filters are still good but not as good.I can tolerate Marlboro 27,Camel wides and filter full flavor.I cannot stand Pall Mall,Marlboro reds or lights,Winstons,American Spirit,Camel Lights, any Newports etc.The FSC ruined my Marlboro reds that I smoked for 20 years.Needless to say I was very angry. The FSC law has ruined the smoking experience,I believe that was the governments intentions.I cannot believe that just the addition of the extra bands can cause so much of a change in taste. They have added something that they are not telling us about besides eva and extra paper. The truth will eventually come out when this law causes needless deaths from unknown chemicals.I just want to be left alone and able to make the choice to smoke without some bs organization coming up with this crap and causing them to be more deadly than before.

I bought Natives, and low and behold, they are tainted with FSC! They taste ok at first, but if you stockpile them like I do (I buy 12 cartons or so at a time, last me 5-6 months)they begin to taste bad into the last couple of months. I bought some Marlboro Lights OS, made in the Phillipines, and they tasted ok, but not great.

The first weeks they tasted like crap, but I got to admit, I didn't even really notice anymore after a while. I only notice when they're -not- fsc yet, which only happens when I get them from some nightshops that probably import them.

Oh well, I've started to roll them again a few days ago, so not my problem anymore

Default FSC sucks

FSC cigs causes breathing problems, after smoking RYO a few weeks my breathing returns to normal. They also cause a dry cough. If I notice these 2 things that are not vague symptoms I assume there is more damage I am unaware of. I am sick of being taxed unfairly and now poisoning smokers! I want to see a movement to repeal this law. I want to know how many (if any) lives were saved. I am sick of the self righteous non smokers making laws that harms smokers. They take smokers tax money and pay for everything under the sun, how about taking our tax money and put it in a health fund for SMOKERS ONLY. Has there been a study on carpet glue inhalation? I am just beginning my searches, if anyone knows of petitions please post.

Cool

Welcome to the CigReviews Forum rover6x01!

The only way to get cigarettes w/o FSC chemicals in the cigarette paper now is to buy from overseas sites that have cigarettes manufactured there. Do not buy "American made" brands from your local retailer because "American made" means the same as FSC. Only brands manufactured overseas do not contain the FSC chemicals. We can all agree that smoking is bad for us but even more so now with the highly toxic FSC chemicals added to USA manufactured cigarettes. These FSC chemicals are now in every pack of cigarettes purchased inside the United States. Just look at the barcode on that pack of cigarettes you just picked up from Walgreens or Publix or your local gas station and you will see the letters - FSC stamped on there. FSC chemicals were never approved for use by FDA and never would have been approved. The current administration in Washington, D.C. and state politicians totally skipped over the FDA when they decided to mandate these highly toxic FSC chemicals be added to all brands manufactured in the USA. Some smokers do not notice the effects of FSC chemicals right away. Others notice the difference immediately. More and more smokers in the USA are moving to roll your own and electronic cigarettes not only to avoid the taxation of tobacco but to avoid the toxic effects of FSC's! The FSC idea came about from fanatical anti-smoker groups who supposedly wanted to decrease the number of deaths from "smoking in bed" fires. The irony is that the new chemicals cause the lit end of a cigarette to fall off more easily and thereby causing even more deaths from smoking in bed!!! Plus the new FSC chemicals add more toxicity to the already toxic levels of chemicals found in cigarettes. Cigarettes may be bad but FSC laced cigarettes are far worse IMHO.
