the truth of the matter is, you are correct, there is no true substitute for the real thing, but for when a smoker is indoors or at a restaurant, an electronic cigarette is truly a suitable alternative until such time you can have a cigarette...i don't think electronic cigarettes will completely replace a cigarette for a smoker, but they are very useful when you find yourself indoors or in a difficult location...Blucigs are quite good, and i've also enjoyed greensmoke's electronic cigarette...good luck!
