Default Camel Filters

Hello, new here.

I was wondering if anyone has switched to these after smoking Marlboro Reds. I have been smoking Reds for 4 years and I love them but the Camels here are over .50 cheaper a pack and I'm thinking about switching because of that. Are Filters about the same strength as Reds? I also like the "roughness" of reds, are the Camels a lot smoother or what?

Thanks.

Camel Filters are simialar to Marb Reds. I have always prefered them over Marlboro and for some reason they recently became slightly cheaper than Marlboros.

Camels are not supposed to have a filter.

In my opinion

I am a regular smoker of Marlboro Reds, and I don't really like Camel Filters. I'm all for harsh cigarettes, but Camel Filters come off as a little too harsh to me. They always leave my throat feeling very dry. I do like Camel Lights much better than Marlboro Lights, however.

I am a regular Reds smoker and I tried to switch but with no success.

First the taste it left in my throat was a bit strange, even unpleasant for the first couple of days.

After I got used to its taste I can say that Camel Filters is a great cigarette but I returned back to Reds for on simple reason: I smoke a pack of Reds a day while it takes 1.5 - 2 packs of Camels to satisfy my cravings.

I switched over at one point for the same reason. IMHO, Camels have more like a myriad of flavors in one cig, some drags taste like Marlboro Reds and other drags taste kind of sweet and chocolaty. Marlboro Reds really have only one flavor, but, as my friend said "There's a fuckton of it." To me both of them are equally harsh, but Camels seem to burn slightly slower as well.

I smoked reds for a while, until I tried Camel Filters. I found that the chemical taste was very reduced. Also, the tobacco they use seems richer and tastier. I may stick with these over reds for a long, long time.
