First, don't believe the propaganda that evil nicotine is as addictive as heroin and you have zero chance of escaping it's evil clutches.
That, I believe, is a lie.
You can quit and you do not need the government to help you or pay 50 dollars or more for nic gum or some other money making con.
Just stop.
Smoking, I think, is a habit. A personal and social habit.
It's not crack cocaine or heroin.
The physical addiction of tobacco, I think, have been hyperboled to death.
My story:
Twenty years ago I smoked pack of Marlboros a day.
I quit for about six months and during that time I always promised myself that if I wanted....yea...I would smoke another cig.
The happy ending:
I do still smoke, but only one or two a day and sometimes none at all weekly.
I now smoke by choice, not habit.
It can be done.
Now, if you are trying to get me to give up my coffee!
That would be another story
