North Carolina Cigarettes (most non-fsc) going up by $10 ($12 total) in new taxes Well it's sad but it looks like smokes coming out of NC are going up by another $10 in taxes to pay for more democratic government waste. I believe this $10 in taxes will go to illegal alien health care and education (regardless of what the damn governor says). I mean hell....look at Obama's tax increase and no more 5% of it has gone to schip. Why weren't people smart enough with Obama to see he entered the whitehouse fully invested in health care (perfectly legal of course) and he has made more in the short months he has been in office of his investments than any other president in HISTORY! Again perfectly legal by our screwed up standards. Remember, he can not touch his portfolio while in office but he can control how the industry does while in office.
Ok so now we were hiked by over $7 from the obama tax as manufacturers raised prices too. Now the governor of NC wants to raise taxes again by $10 which would lead to another raise of $12 per carton to smoke non-fsc (thank God I live in NC!). Wow.....that is almost $60 a carton for premiums at most gas stations.
My question to everyone because I am seeing more of this? Who is the real terrorist right now? I am seeing illegal and bootleg cigarettes flood flea markets and rougher areas of town. If I buy these cigarettes for $20 a carton I am told I am supporting terrorist. If I buy legal cigarettes at the soon to be price of near $60 a carton I REALLY feel like I am supporting terrorist. Is it wrong to buy cigarettes at deep discounts just because I refuse to support this screwed up country?
Before you ask, I have served in the military for 8 years and love what this country stood for. Just not anymore. I have attempted now to migrate out of the country twice (once to Canada and once to Mexico) but was turned down because I have an associates degree and not a masters. You can't flame me for the comment above by saying "just leave!" since I can't legally.
Anyone else think drugs might be cheaper than smokes?
