I agree that it's all about tastes. It's hard to recomend a brand. No two taste bud chemistrys are alike. It's best to try a few different brands and experiment. Plus it's fun to experiment. I'd like to try a couple brands mentioned here such as hint of mint. If you run into a brand you don't like, stash it in the freezer for emergency. If you're looking for a decent discount brand. I've found Mavericks or Liggets to be good where the others taste too chemicalish. The next guy might say I'm full of crap but again it boils down to taste bud chemistry.

If you're willing to invest 40 bucks in a good rolling machine, you can venture into the more exotic stuff and save some money over commercial. Lots of dough rolling the standard variety. The topomatic is a good machine. I been rolling 1.5 packs a day with it for over 3 months and it works just as good as the day I bought it. Settled on Gambler turkish for everyday smoking because it's cheap, mellow, packs beautifully in the machine, and tastes really good. But again, it's taste bud chemistry.
