 Marlboro and the KKK
This rumor is an old one and has to do with the ‘subliminal’ three K’s on the pack itself. The chevroning on the white background that forms two jutting arms of the capital letter “k” when the pack is tipped on the side. This appears on three surfaces of the pack (front, back and one of the sides) so people assume this could read as 3 K’s resulting in a huge stretch to think Marlboro was ever involved in the KKK. |
