If for some reason I ran out of rolling Perique and had to buy a pack they were the same as my rolled but the price was out of sight. Worth it though after you spend years smoking Perique's.For any Perique or American Spirit in general at least in florida you will have to get your local tobacco store to order it special for you. When I first started smoking American Spirit regular blend back in the 1990's I had to get the local tobacco store order for me after Florida stopped allowing tobacco to be mail ordered to homes. Then Perique's came along and I switched after 1 cigarette it's so good. If you will roll your own regular blend or Perique's you can still smoke for less than $2 a pack. Get the Premium rolling machine for $40 and it will pay for itself in a month.I still have mine after using it for 7 years and had to replace 1 spring the whole time. Look for them on google. If you smoke 100's get the adjustable one.

I bought a deluxe rolling machine a Premier.Abox 3"by 5" with a handle.I rolled perique's for 5 years with the wood cellulose filter tubes.Cost me about $1.75 a pack.Best tasting,Organic grown tobacco on the planet.I only smoked a pack every3-4 days so I eventually quit because I got married and my wife could'nt stand the smoke. I smoked because I liked it not because I was addicted. If I ran out of Perique and bought a pack of marlboro, camel or any other, I would'nt be able to breathe for days due to all the additives. If you are a big smoker and are smoking those 007's because your brand is too expensive get regular blend american spirit mailordered and invest in a $40 rolling machine not a cheap plastic one but a premium. Look on google for the address and roll your own for a little more than a dollar a pack. your rolling machine will pay for itself in a month.

This has strong taste to it. The tobacco smells awesome but the smoke probably not so much. I felt the nicotine in it the first time I smoked it I had to sit down. It was a little harsh on my throat probably because of the high tar and lack of additives. This is probably my fault since the tobacco was dry. I use tubes I can't imagine what it would feel like unfiltered. I almost always mix it with largo now partially so it injects better which is another thing I didn't like.

These are very good smokes. Smooth, creamy, and have somewhat of a "nutty" taste to them. The first one I smoked gave me a very relaxing buzz, and these contain a very high nicotine content because of the amount of tobacco in a single cigarette. They're very tightly packed, so I usually like to unroll them a little bit before I smoke them. It can be difficult at times to get a good, full draw of smoke from them. Another thing that I like is how long they last. I would recommend these to anyone, but they can be pricey.

I decided to finally try these after I was curious about their 100% additive-free tobacco, and was somewhat let down. As I knew already, these are very tightly packed and have a weak draw from them. You really have to drag for a while just to get a decent amount of smoke. The taste is somewhat bland and "woody", yet it definitely does smell like tobacco. I noticed this immediately as I opened the pack. In general, these aren't the worst cigarettes I've had, but I probably won't be buying them again.

I'm a cigar and pipe smoker predominantly, but started smoking cigarettes. Camels, to be exact. But then came the FSC and all the price hike, and I wanted to save some money, so I ventured into rolling my own. I started with Drum and Top brand tobacco, and I liked it. (Top, not Drum) Anyway, I started noticing buzz about American Spirit, so I picked up a can of the original blend. I smoked through it, and I gotta say, it took getting used to. But once I did, there's no going back. I use a rolling machine, and filter tips. I don't know where all the poor reviews are coming from, but I suspect its because they need the nicotine and they're not getting it from American spirit. It's important that you get yourself used to it. Once you do, you'll never go back. And believe me, it may be a bit pricier than other rolling brands, but it's still cheaper than store-bought.

After smoking a few more, I started to really like them. I had one Turkish Silver left and was excited to go back to it, but it wasn't the same. After trying American Spirit, I was able to taste all the chemicals in the Camel that I didn't taste before. I'm giving it 4 stars because it lacks in the buzz department. The tobacco is tight and the cigarette itself is rolled nicely and firm. I haven't smoked one all the way to the end, because it's really too much; I normally stop near the first wing. It's pricey because it's great quality!

These are decent menthol cigs, but are not worth the money; $8+ for a pack where I live. They are very, very strong, and the taste is only okay. I prefer Marlboro Smooths, Camel Menthol, or Newport over these. Plus, the price on those brands is much cheaper.
